“An organization that is committed to creative collaboration will ride the wave of the future. They will go beyond the realm of assumptive thinking and welcome the dawn of innovation…because there is nothing more empowering than an idea whose time has come.”
Discover Your “Hidden Treasure”
- Do you leave the treasure buried?
- Do you dig the treasure up?
Now, if you decide to leave the treasure, you may never know what the treasure is and its potential value. Maybe you decide to unearth the treasure and are amazed. Are you happy that you took the time to dig the treasure out of the ground?
Now think of your innovative potential. What if you never understood your full innovative potential? You may miss out understanding how your hidden talents contribute to your personal and professional success. The FourSight™ was designed to discover the “hidden treasure” within you!
FourSight™: Discover Your “Innovative Potential”
FourSight™ is a highly researched, field-tested and validated assessment that offers individuals, groups and organizations a simple, striking profile of high and low preferences for the four distinct phases of the “personal” innovation process, or your “innovative potential.” Every person has a unique combination of the following four phases of one’s natural innovation process: problem identification (i.e., Clarifier), idea generation (i.e., Ideator), solution development (i.e., Developer), and implementation (i.e., Implementer).
FourSight™ was developed by Gerard Puccio, Ph.D., Chair and Professor at the International Center for Studies in Creativity at Buffalo State College – State University of New York. FourSight™ is the assessment tool he developed in hopes of telegraphing the Center’s fundamental discoveries and principles around creativity and innovation to a broader audience. Using simple terms and immediately applicable tools, FourSight™ brilliantly packages up and delivers the best “thinking about thinking” that has been done over the last 50 years!
Uses of the FourSight™
FourSight™ is ideal in a variety of contexts including, but not limited to:
- Innovative meeting facilitation & training
- Team and leadership development
- Innovative and critical thinking skills training
- New product development
Russell’s Graduate Thesis Research of the FourSight™
Russell published a validated research study (conducted under the advisement of Dr. Gerard Puccio, author of the FourSight™) that examined the participants’ FourSight™ profile (i.e., an assessment tool that identifies preferences for the personal innovation process) and how they responded to a course in Creative Problem Solving. He also studied how these same participants foresaw applying innovative and critical thinking skills, personally and professionally. Russell co-authored and published an article on the above referenced research in the Fall 2004 edition of the Journal of Creative Behavior. This research led to the commercialization of the FourSight™, and is highlighted in the FourSight™ Technical Manual under the heading “CPS Training as Viewed through FourSight Preferences.”
Russell’s FourSight™ Certification
Russell attained the Foursight™ Certified Advanced Facilitator designation from Gerard J. Puccio, Ph.D., developer of the FourSight™, in 2003.
